Population Excess

POPULATION EXCESS

Global warming, the serious scarcity of foods, the destruction of the environment, droughts, and their  drought-stricken lands, increasing scarcity of water in multiple countries, the melting of glaciers and poles, wars, terrorism, the worrisome  excessive commerce of weapons. Many critical problems, some of which merit urgent solutions.

They are spoken about, there are manifestation to protest them, the media mentions them, high level meeting are held to find solutions, specially to global warming which giving way to further problems appears to be the most serious one. We all feel threatened, specially the younger generations.  We realize that a lot is being said – but little is being done.

Yet, the fundamental cause of these evils is not brought up: the population explosion, its constant and alarming growth.  We all perceive that there is excess population and know that it is in unstable and underdeveloped countries that its growth persists, but the majority of world leaders appear not to be sufficiently aware of the fact.

The population explosion, which duplicates itself every 25 years, results in an excess of motorcars, of suburbs, of industries, and the constant destruction of vegetation, most specially the tropical rain forests of Latin American, Africa and Indonesia.  The population explosion also causes the scarcity of food, scarcity of water, migration legal or illegal, the contamination of the environment, the proliferation of drugs with its dire consequences, the excess of wastes, more and more landfills, etc.

Is it that world leaders do not see what is in front of their eyes?  Are they out of touch with reality?  Is it that they don’t understand the limitations of our earth and that it can only sustain a limited number of humanity?  When it comes to extreme cases, the United Nations does what is possible to provide food. But is it the case that it is only a matter of just feeding them as if they were animals? Aren’t they human beings that deserve a decent life and opportunities to overcome their meager lot? Aren’t those millions of children exposed to miserly conditions, miserable lives, and exploit, important enough?

For how long will religious leaders who oppose birth control and modern methods of contraception be in a state of utter unconsciousness?  Is it that they do not care for the well- being of humanity at large?

How long will the unconsciousness of political leaders go on, who live more interested in competing than in sharing; who with a primitive mentality of war, many of them, spend millions building or buying weapons, which only use is to kill people or turn into junk.

Only by imposing birth control and creating decentralized democracies that regulate excesses and promote evolution towards higher levels of consciousness, can we avoid total chaos.

Viva Chile…

Viva Chile!

To The Leaders of the USA

What ever happens in the world today affects us all, sooner or later.  If you agree with this message, for your own sake and that of others, please send it to members of Congress, the Media, the United Nations and the Organization of American States…and anyone else you can think of.

I believe that promoting decentralized democracies is the most important and urgent world wide promotion any civilized government, organization or foundation can carry out.  It is obvious that with such system of government citizens con achieve the best possible well-being and prosperity.  Unfortunately the leaders of the United States have not learned how to promote democracy effectively.  They have not realized that people need to know what decentralization is and why it works so well.  Here I offer a clear, simple description about it, easy to understand by most.

DECENTRALIZATION – TRUE REVOLUTION – MAXIMUM WELL-BEING

There is no doubt that the most successful revolution has been that of the United States of America in 1776.  This modern revolution that  preceded the French Revolution has offered the greatest social and economic well-being to the largest number of individuals because its leaders created a Constitution that established  a  decentralized political and economic structure.  In other words, the central government kept the basic functions, and it gave the states most of the political and economic activities, thus granting all citizens sufficient freedom and responsibility to organize their own governmental and economic systems, and so creating the first socialist form of government chosen by the people for the benefit of the people.

The result of these excellent laws was an initial social well-being which stimulated creativity and work, and led to economic prosperity.  At the same time such laws decentralized and controlled central power by establishing a separation and balance of  executive, legislative, and judicial powers,  thus contributing to the increment of general welfare and motivation.  These are logical results because when citizens are able to act upon the decisions that rule their political and economic lives, andare protected by a good legal system, they feel secure and thus motivated to create and work to improve their livelihood and their community.

Indeed, the greatest source of wealth in a country is the creativity and labor of its inhabitants motivated by the best form of government.  A political regime which promotes dignity, self respect and respect for others and the environment. A form of government in which we all have a voice, a vote and a say in local and national decisions.  And economies  based on the creativity and labor of the inhabitants  of each state who are indeed the most interested in the welfare of their region.

It suffices to observe the world to see that the countries that have established decentralized regimes have achieved more prosperity and culture. In the midst of human imperfection the creation of this system of government has been the greatest accomplishment because it has offered well-being and prosperity to the vast majority of citizens. A system of government that has evolved from human endeavors and not from ideologies.

The best that a population can do is to create for themselves the fairest and most straightforward Constitution and allow individuals to do the rest.  For in evolving with freedom we all can achieve, each one according to their natural abilities, the maximum well-being.  This has been the great success of the United States and other countries with similar political structures.  Without democracy and decentralization it is very difficult to create prosperity or socialism.

These political, social and economic facts are so evident that those people who fail to understand or accept them are indeed out of touch with reality and confused due to either psychological afflictions or cultural  pressures, or both.  I say this becausereligious, political and economic theories, while teaching realistic and positive concepts, teach unreal and negative concepts as well.  As a result a vast amount of humanity is partly confused, out of touch with reality and creating disharmony.  Imaginary and negative concepts that promote aggression, intolerance, limitations and prejudices, and make it difficult to create beneficial forms of government.  We must understand that there are concepts created by clear sound minds in touch with reality and concepts created by confused minds out of touch with reality.

Those who forcefully want to impose their ideas wanting to equalize us all, are mentally unbalanced, out of touch with reality, thus fighting the reality of human nature, and creating misery.  These individuals imbued in their instability and ignorance do not  understand the human condition and its natural evolution.  They do not understand that nature itself produces individuals that are more capable and intelligent who accomplish  more than others and who usually create sources of employment and prosperity.

Centuries of evolution have proved, absolutely, that centralized regimes  cause malaise and misery because they limit and fight human nature, and because they condone abuse, corruption, bureaucracy, injustice, and many other evils.

Emily Dickinson, 1830-1886

If I can stop one heart from breaking

I shall not live in vain;

If I can ease one life the aching,

Or cool one pain,

Or help one fainting robin

Unto his nest again,

I shall not live in vain.
